“Lean On Me” ist eine soziale Skulptur. Es ist eine Arbeit, die sich mit dem Zusammenspiel von Körpern beschäftigt. In welcher Verbindung stehen wir zueinander? Wer hält wen? Wer gibt Kraft und wer hat die Möglichkeit leicht zu sein?
Entstanden ist die Arbeit während der ersten COVID-Welle im Jahr 2020, als auf einmal über systemrelevante Berufe gesprochen wurde und über den Nutzen und die Sinnhaftigkeit von Kunst und Kultur.
"Lean On Me" is a social sculpture. The work explores the interaction and relationship between bodies. How are we connected to one another? Who holds whom? Who provides strength, and who is given the opportunity to be light?
The work was created during the first wave of COVID-19 in 2020, a time when public discussions suddenly focused on essential professions and on the value, purpose, and relevance of art and culture.
