"Die Kindliche Kaiserin“ ist eine Installation die nach Phantasien sucht. Die Künstlerinnen Laura Därr und Geeske Janßen haben sich dem Verlieren von Phantasie und Entdecken von neuen Wirklichkeiten gewidmet. Die Suche nach der Kindheit, welche zu schnell vergeht und der hinterher getrauert wird. Die Freiheit alles zu Fragen, in Frage zu stellen, sich keinen Konventionen und Formen bewusst zu sein. Eigene Welten aufzubauen, in welchen alles den selbstbestimmten Weg geht. Das eigene Phantasien: wieso hat man es so einfach gehen lassen. Kommt es wieder? Wann ist das Tor dieser Welt zu? Utopien und Visionen werden gelenkt und dürfen sich nicht frei entfalten. Was passiert, wenn der eigen erdachte Ort Phantasien enthüllt und zerstört ist? Die kindliche Kaiserin lädt ein diese inszenierte Wirklichkeit aus Sound, Video, Installation, Performance in der galerie KUB zu erkunden.

"The Childlike Empress" is an installation that searches for the realm of imagination. Artists Laura Därr and Geeske Janßen explore the loss of imagination and the discovery of new realities. The work reflects on childhood. A time that passes too quickly and is often mourned in retrospect.
It addresses the freedom to ask questions, to challenge what is given, and to exist without an awareness of conventions and predetermined forms. It is about creating one’s own worlds, places where everything can follow a self-determined path.
The work asks: Why did we let our own imagination disappear so easily? Can it return? When does the gateway to this world close? Utopias and visions become guided, restricted, and prevented from fully unfolding.
What happens when the imagined place reveals itself and is ultimately destroyed?
"The Childlike Empress" invites visitors to explore this staged reality, created through sound, video, installation, and performance, at Galerie KUB.
