Die Videoarbeit „Ein Fest“ beschäftigt sich mit den Sehgewohnheiten unserer Zeit. Krieg, Brände, Terror sind Teil unseres Alltags geworden und sei es für einige Menschen nur aus den Medien. Daher liegt die Erklärung nahe, dass es sich bei diesen Bildern auch um ein schreckliches Ereignis handelt. Doch es ist ein Fest. Es wird auf eine besondere Art gefeiert. Das Alte wird verbrannt und das Neue mit Böllern willkommen geheißen.

The video work “A Celebration” explores the viewing habits of our time. War, fires, and terrorism have become part of our everyday lives. Even if, for some people, this is only through the media. It’s therefore natural to assume that these images depict a terrible event. But it is a celebration in a special way. The old is being burned, and the new is being welcomed with fireworks.
